junior software developer

Job Description

We are looking to recruit a developer to join our rapidly growing and vibrant business. You will be responsible for developing bespoke software for a wide range of customers. The job will involve face-to-face meetings with customers, and you should therefore have good inter-personal skills. You will be required to work across the whole life-cycle of the projects, from defining requirements to the development and implementation of the final product, and providing follow-up technical support.

Personal Qualities

You should be a good team player, with the ability to work under minimum supervision and be willing to share knowledge. You should also be able to explain technical issues simply to less computer-literate users, and be able to think creatively to solve new problems. One of our key standards is attention to detail, and any successful applicant must fulfil this requirement.

Technical Skills

You will need a minimum of 2 years commercial development experience, essential skills being MS Office, in particular Access and Excel, VBA, VB, VB.Net, SQL Server, and ideally some working knowledge of Web technologies including ASP. Knowledge of Crystal Reports would also be beneficial.
